This was the view from Jim's "standing room only" seat at the Allstar game. Seat cushion not included.
We called in the "pro" to hook up the gas line for the fireplace and the range. I have not had a gas range since we lived at "Sloppy's" right after we got married, so it will be starting over for me.
After the gas fittings were in Jim could start with the new dry wall. It sure looks good.
And now a few days off to enjoy the mid summer classic!
No rest for the over worked - Jim back at the dry wall on Wednesday.
This is a tool I got Jim for Christmas (he actually picked it out with this in mind). It worked great for cutting the holes in the ceiling to place the can lights. It is really hard to know where you are going to want and need light when you have nothing in the kitchen. Hope we choose right.
Trent and his friends visited on Saturday while his mom and dad went to a wedding reception, so Jim had some extra help .
The workshop is the perfect place to drive a car.
Jim spent most of Saturday and Sunday in the attic running wire for switches and putting in and wiring the can lights in the ceiling. He thought it would be a good time to get in the attic since it was so cool outside, but it was anything but cool in the attic. The combination of sloping roof, insulation, wearing a mask and the heat made for really bad working conditions.
The results are great. I think we have enough light. There had better be, because I don't think I'll get Jim back in the attic.
