Mother's Day Weekend

Mother's Day weekend all hands were on "deck" for the beginning of the deck project.

Prior to the weekend Jim had removed the sod from the deck area.

Tim didn't find out until he got here that the post holes would be dug by hand.  He was rethinking his decision, but looks like he had good help.

Sunday Meme and Bulit came out for lunch, then work started again with several onlookers, supervisors and some buffalo gnats.

This picture was taken in the AM.  Conditions didn't look to good for an early start, so Tim and Dan went to play 9 holes of golf.  Jim and Trent started the concrete work and got a little work done before lunch.  Trent was the "turn on man".

Each guy had a specific duty and everything worked like a charm.

As usual, no blog post is complete without a picture of  Daisy.  She was in "dog heaven" being outside, but not by herself.

 

The post holes took more concrete that we thought so we were a few bags short of finishing the project.  We ran out of time and concrete at the perfect time for a quick supper and everyone on the way.  Thanks everyone for your help!
